I've heard good things about this series so I decided to try the first one, Naked in Death. Well it was a good fun quick read so I picked up the next 3 in the series, Glory in Death, Immortal in Death and Rapture in Death. A romantic police mystery series set about 100 years in the future. The first book the heroine meets her love as part of a murder investigation. It seems that every book so far boyfriend and eventually husband as the series progresses that Rourke always gets his fingers into the issue. The only real problem I have with the books is that if someone new is introduced they almost always seem to be the villain. Good beach read series.

Dragon Moon by Alan F Troop
Jul. 21st, 2005 11:21 amThis is the sequel to The Dragon Delasangre. I've had it a while and finally dug it out to read along with the sequel Seadragon's Daughter. With this book it is 4 years after the events in book 1. This is mostly a book about Peter getting the younger sister of his dead wife to be his new wife. He was a bit underhanded according to dragon traditions to get Chole as his mate. During the wedding ceremony, is in-laws betray him for his money. In the end, you finally hear about the history of dragons and he fixes things with his in-laws. I was left wanting more and was quite happy to have the next book on hand to read.
Seadragon's Daughter by Alan F Troop
Jul. 21st, 2005 11:30 amBook 3 is 2 years after the book 2. This one introduces another race of dragons to the reader. It seems that this one has an imbalance of female to male ratio. They also seem to be the basis for the legends of mermaids and sirens. Peter is poisoned and blackmailed with a temporary antidote to get him to come back and breed with the females. He is under mental control by the females everytime they sing. He decides to break free and go back to his wife with what he hopes are clues to finding the antidote. Also he finds out more about his father, who had a seadragon wife. Our hero wins but you are left hanging about what will happen with a child he conceived during his captivity.
This is a radio DJ who happens to be a wolf. The book is rather thin and felt almost too pared down in the storyline. By chance Kitty turns her midnight to 4am shift from a music show to a call in show based on the paranormal by the mere chance of reading the tabloid paper on air out of boredom. Kitty develops her show and herself from being the lowest member of the pack to become strong. As usual vampires and werewolves do not get along in this universe but I really couldn't tell if they were really out in the open or were trying to stay behind the scenes of the regular world. I would like more details on this universe but I'm not waiting around for the next book.
This book comes out in November.
