This is a stand alone novel. It is set in LA but Bosch never shows up and I still like it. ;-) I have to say that I have never been disappointed by a Michael Connelly book and I hope I never will be.

Mickey is a defense attorney that is constantly on the go. A big case drops into his lap and his world changes. Thanks to evidence that he uncovers as the case progresses, what he assumed in the past turns out to be not true and it sends him for a tumble. Things pick up speed at the end in end and come to a big finish. I have to say I can see this novel turning into a really nice movie like Blood Music did.

I have a few more of the stand alones to read and then I will be all caught up again. Not sure if I will pick up Chasing the Dime for my next trip or just hold off for a while.

Ive read all the Pattersons Alex Cross novels and Sanfords Davenport stuff. Just what I need another series to read

well...I guess since Im buying a used bookstore it isnt that much of a stretch of the imagination

Yea you will be seeing tons of stuff come across the counter. Have fun, I think about opening a B&M storefront but then I would never be able to do cons and carry that much signed stock.
