At least this year I'm only missing 5 which I will backdate to today's date in the next week. so go me I think that is the least I have had to catch up before. Of course I haven't double checked the accuracy of that statement. LOL. As always if you are dying to see what I have read at this moment I am on Goodreads or you can look at my user info on LJ and see the Goodreads widget that lists the last 6 I have read.

#96 Wolfsbane by Patricia Briggs
Dec. 31st, 2010 09:13 pm This is the direct sequel to Masques, which I liked when I read it years and years ago and then reread the rewrite of the same novel that was released a few months ago. This one is set a few months after Masques and has Aralorn going home for her father's funereal but surprise he is only mostly dead due to magic. The rest of the story has her trying to fix this and has Wolf exploring the green magic part of his heritage. Light fun fantasy novel and I'll read the next one when it comes out.

#97 Gateway by Frederik Pohl
Dec. 31st, 2010 10:00 pm I had read this so many years ago I couldn't remember the main plot but I could remember some of the window dressing to the story. I liked the alien culture mostly because there is so little the reader knows about it. What I really didn't like was the main character, he was just a total ass and I didn't think had any redeeming traits. I will read more in the series if the main character isn't in the next book.

#98 A Blush With Death by India Ink
Dec. 31st, 2010 10:25 pm The second book of the series has bad luck hounding Persia and her grandmother at their small spa. Turns out it isn't bad luck but corporate espionage that is stealing their custom blended cents and ruining their crops for their products. Persia publicly turns against her grandmother in a plan they both have come up with to try and save the spa. Everything works out in the end and it looks like Persia may even find some happiness for herself in her love life.

#99 Glossed and Found by India Ink
Dec. 31st, 2010 11:45 pm The last book in the series by Yasmine Galenorn is just a good as the first two. This book brings back the crazy ex boyfriend that Persia had dumped prior to the beginning of the book and also deals with the disappearance of one of the salons workers. Everything ends happily ever after but while reading it you almost wonder if it will not turn out well for everyone involved. The books were fun cozy mysteries and I'm glad I picked them up.
