#52 By Schism Rent Asunder by David Weber

This is the second book in the series. And to be honest, not much happens action wise. This is more showing battle lines being drawn and alliances forming on either side of the battle.  I would almost say wait until the 3rd book comes out and then you can go from 2 to 3 with no real waiting.

#53 Cry Wolf by Patricia Briggs

This is a start of a new series but most of the players have been introduced in Brigg's series on Mercy Thompson. But you don't have to have read those books to read this one. Charles and Anna get together in a short story from an anthology that I can't remember at the moment and this book picks up right at the end of the short story. If you didn't read it, no worries she will spend the first part of the book dropping info in for the new reader. I have to say that her ideas about omega werewolves is very interesting and it is nice to see something a bit different done with werewolves.
