This is the second book in the series of a alternate Atlanta where when magic came back it takes out technology. Magic and tech comes in waves that can be a bit unpredictable. In this book Kate find an easy job of retrieving some maps turns into finding a missing witch that then leads into a god trying to come back into the world by taking advantage of a cyclic flareup of magic. I like this series and I will be getting the next book when it comes out.
