I started reading book one and since I didn't have book 2 available I read book 3. The plus was it was ok that I hadn't read book 2 as of yet. Book one deals with the sister who is heir to one of the three ruling seats of the Skolian Empire. Book 3 deals with someone believed to be dead by everyone in book 1. The universe seems to be well plotted out with many details. I had a bit of a problem getting into book 3 but I think that was more me than the book.
Primary Inversion deals with the heir finding out she is falling for the heir of the other empire. This also seems to set the stage for the series. The Last Hawk deals with a pilot who crash lands on a restricted world and slowly becomes a back room power player in the politics before finally being able to escape years later.
I enjoyed both books but I'm not gunning to pick up the rest ASAP. If I find them when I'm out bookshopping I'll pick them up but they are not a MUST READ NOW series.
