This book picks up right after Dexter's honeymoon in Paris.  He plays cat and mouse with a performance artist killer. The tone of the books goes back to the first two novels and doesn't say too much about what happened in book 3 which I think a lot of readers will like. Dexter's step kids continue to push him into giving them lessons so they can be just like him. Of course the way the series is going I have a feeling that Dexter will be outed in a few more books.

Im glad they kind of glossed over book 3, I like the series and wish they would explore the kids in the SHO show

I think it would be so disturbing to have those sweet angelic kids being broken

Well the kids are broken. I haven't watched the show so I don't know how they are shown on there.
