missingvolumeFinally we get to find out what the deal is with Mendoza's reincarnating lover. Once she has been tossed into prehistory, the third version of her lover comes to the future to escape the Company. She helps him go back to his time where he is an Earl and a pirate. The future seems to be a quite boring place that has been made "safe". No fires in fireplaces, no dairy foods and other nonsense things to keep you healthy. But still no one knows what happens after 2355. He comes back for her The next book should be quite interesting since now we are within a few years of the magical moment when the future is unknown. I broke down and bought a review copy of it to read, Look for notes on it before too long. ;-)
