V is for Vendetta by Alan Moore
Aug. 27th, 2005 09:22 pmI've had this for a while and I decided to read it since everyone seems to give big thumbs up to Alan Moore. I enjoyed The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen so I decided to read this instead of waiting for the movie first. The setting is damn dark. I'm not a fan of dystopic future, I like in the end to be left with a happy version of the future. To see the mistakes of history repeated again in the pages of the comic wasn't pleasant. But I must say that I was completely sucked into the story and I had to find out if V is really able to topple the government of this future UK.
Now I worry that the movie adaption with be worthy of this book.
