Question

Just curious if anyone actually uses the tags on my LJ. I was thinking for the reviews to add genre to it that way if you know we have the same taste in SF but not in Fantasy you could just skim to my SF reviews. I was also playing around with the idea of a paid account so I could do polls without having ads. If I want ads I'll advertise my own website. ::smirk::  So leave a comment if you care to weigh in on this, especially if I should wade all the way back to 2004 and tag them all.

I don't. It's not like you post 200 items a day, it's easy enough for me to pay attention to the posts of yours I care about, and ignore the ones I don't.

I'd never thought to use them that way, Mike, but I do use my own tags for my own purposes, Glennis. When I want to find something, some specific post on my LJ and can't remember what title I'd put or when exactly I posted it.

Should you go back through YEARS worth of posts to tag? Uhhh, no. Should you maybe start today? If you'll find it useful for whatever reasons/purposes. Should you do it for others or expect others to use them? probably not since rarely do two users think of the exact same tags for things. Unless you TELL people what tags to search with, why would they use APPLE instead of BANANA ?
