missingvolumeI've been reading these as they have come out in the US. I've been too lazy to read the UK editions. This is book 5 in the series and starts just a few months after book 4. The nice thing is you really don't have to read the first books since each one is self contained. Yes it is better to read in order but nothing horrible will happen if you don't.
Book 5 has Thraxas once again saving the city's bacon even if he never gets any respect. The hero of the story like his beer and drugs(in moderation). I love how certain phrases are used several times in the book by different people. The books are just a fun romp. I have liked everything that I have read by Martin Millar and his pen name Martin Scott.
