When you know you must travel far from your family to work in an once in a lifetime job the last thing you want to see is your wife and kids on a ship overtaking you to the assignment during a space pirate raid and the bonus is they have been traveling for months with your ex-girlfriend and scientific rival. Dr Song isn’t happy, she is worried about her family now and that anything she comes up with will be stolen from her again by her ex, Vickee.  Once everyone arrives to the Hub there is a murder attempt and they mystery really begins. This is a fun mystery with a research scientist trying to figure out a murder and keep her family safe and do research at the same time.  Everything works out and it was an enjoyable read.
