This is the fiftieth book in the series, and it is still as entertaining as the first. This one deals with a cheap looking golden egg that delivers death to a seemingly random person. Once the second death happens then Eve and Peabody do their thing to connect the dots and find the killer. These police procedurals that are set in a near future NYC never fail to entertain and rotate a cast of supporting characters in either passing conversation or the case may involve them in some way. Entertaining as always and now to wait until fall for the next one.
