#75 Network Effect by Martha Wells

This is set after the four novellas and previous characters do show up in this book but I don’t think you need to read all of the novellas before you start this one. Granted you will miss some backstory but all of that is filled in during the course of the plot. Murderbot is a security bot that has overridden its software controls and is on its own. It would be as happy as could be if it never had to deal with humans again and just watch endless hours of entertainment. In the previous books Murderbot has made some allies and is currently on a job with some of them and heading back to the colony when they are taken over by another ship and through a wormhole to what seems to be an abandoned corporate colony. Not saying any more on the plot to keep all the surprises intact but if you are a fan of the previous novellas then this one is just as good and enjoyable. The worldbuilding is top notch and the characters are great. Can’t wait to see more in this universe.
