I had read a review of this biography when it first came out about 8 years ago. IT was one of those that I was interested in reading but I didn't think about it that much to go and buy a copy new.

Georgiana was married to the 6th Duke of Devonshire. This was during the reign of George the III and covers the Regency years as well. She was very involved in the Whig party for many years. I have to say that this book gave me a good insight to English politics that I didn't know well at all. It touches on the French revolution as it effects Georgiana's friends. I have to say this has given me a taste for other biographies but now I have to decide what time frame I want to read them in.
