Just another nonfiction book about food. The title caught my interest and I requested it from the library. The subtitle is what hooked me, A Journey Through the Chocolate Underbelly of America. The sad thing is that it really wasn't. This was more the personal journey of the writer hitting up the smaller regional candy makers. The only one I knew that was mentioned is GooGoo Clusters. Since GooGoo Clusters was the only Southern factory he hit that would make sense. In the end I was disappointed with the book. Too much personal info about the writer and not enough about candy. Not sure what will be my next food related book but it might be Salt.
