Right off the top I have to say the art in this book is great. The detail just goes on and on for costumes and architecture.  The story is great and I certainly want to read more of it. With the setup being a girl infiltrating the enemy as a slave/ lab rat in order to get a magical object and managing to escape and quickly be hunted down again. Back story to the war that set her people vs the humans apart is slowly inserted into the issues but never feels like overload.  Good twisty plot and I certainly want to see more of this.
