Review to post on July 5th per publisher request
The second book in the series has Rue dealing with the political fallout of her actions in India and fallout from Quesnel’s and Percy’s actions. The only person who hasn’t done anything that has a large impact on the world is Primrose. Rue is also coping with the knowledge that she is an adult and things with her parents will not be the same. Part of the problems that she is it seem that no one has really set her down and explained in great detail what happens when she reaches her majority and if she happens to no longer be protected by the crown.
Most of the setting of this is on The Spotted Custard as she travels over Egypt. The story was great but I don’t want to really spoil things that will happen in the book. I’m not sure where the next one will happen but I think Rue will take her future in her hands and make it her own.
