missingvolumeA future where dining is controlled in a mob like fashion by two chefs. One is Rose, a locavore chef who's followers look like a bunch of hippies and the other, Bob that cooks in a classic European style. Jiro comes out of nowhere and has a sushi restaurant in the outer ring of the city and both sides come calling with join or else as their offer. Jiro plays each side against the other. The more you know about food and all the ins and out of foodie culture the funnier the in jokes are. After reading this I would like to see another book in the same setting but I'm not sure where the story would go from here.
