#99 Steelheart by Brandon Sanderson

The world has changed. People with superpowers of all types have come into being and are taking over parts of the world and battling each other for supremacy. David was either when he saw his father die by Steelheart's hand. Even though his father believed that good heroes would come as of ten years later they still haven't. There is a resistance to the Epics  let by the Professor and a small group of normal humans and David has been hoping to join them. He gets his chance during an attempt on another's Epic and does what he can to get the group's attention and help them with their goal.  It turns out that David's obsession with Steelheart and the other Epics is a goldmine of info for the the Reckoners to use. This is being marketed as a YA novel but it certainly doesn't read that way. A good strong solid read that does finish the main plot line but leaves the reader waiting for the next book.
