The third book has Nikki and Michael still in love but also not compromising on how to meet each other halfway about Nikki being involved with Michael's circle work. And until there is a "vision" Michael was very happy to listen to and then ignore everything that Nikki said or asked about it. The case that they were working on was a way to bring home once again that Michael needs Nikki in his professional life. Will be interesting to see what happens with the next book.
