#42 The Deer and the Dragon by Piper C.J

 

Marlow is a bestselling writer that is late with her next novel, but she has some secrets that no one would believe. She has an invisible lover that she isn’t sure is a figment of her imagination until he attacks and kills a stalker from her previous life as a highly paid escort.  It turns out that the stalker has demon living in the basement that he has been feeding all of his kills. When Marlow actually sees the invisible demon things start coming together to move the plot forward.  The story was a bit all over the place and I found it hard to really care for the character.  I will not be reading any more in this series.

#43 Love Lies by Cynthia St. Aubin, Stella Hunter [narrator]

 

Things can’t stay nice for long for Hanna, dead vampires keep showing up around her while living vampires want to figure out what happened to her from the previous book. a Trying to keep all the supernatural stuff secret from Detective Morrison is getting complicated.  Hanna doesn’t make it any easier on herself with Mark and he continues to keep info away from Hanna until it is almost too late.  Steve and Shalya are great in this one. A fun quick read.
