Eric is off to Las Vegas to confront the Oracle after the message it sent to him in the previous book. Part of the problem is Eric didn’t leave any friends behind, the other is that the Oracle can see what people are doing with the exception of anyone that was there at its creation. Of course plans go off the rails and there is death and betrayal by the end of the book.
