#40 Demons of Good and Evil by Kim Harrison

 

Rachel has a lot of problems as usual.  Someone is trying to take over the werewolves and steal the focus, the DC vampires are coming to town and want to speak to Constance, and Trent is facing problems as well.   Rachel does overcome all of it with her usual last-minute plans but the betrayal of her and Trent do suffer in this book hits them both hard.  Things do work out but at some point, you have to wonder if she will ever catch a break for a while.
