#37 Long Past Dues by James J. Butcher
Oct. 18th, 2023 11:27 amGrimsby is finally an Auditor after the events in the first book, but he is doing the most basic of things. His partner the Huntsman has been day drinking and not leaving his house. When Grimsby decides to swipe a case from Rayne instead of his usual caseload of low-level stuff, he kicks off a hornet’s nest of trouble for himself. Rayne has been consumed by trying to find Hives missing since the end of the first book. When a clue shows up that might give an idea to find Hives, Rayne is driven to do everything she can to locate him. And there is also the plot point of Grimsby helping Wudge with what he needs to find the door. A good ending but of course things happen right at the very end of the book again that sets the wheels moving for the next book.
