#27 Magic Claims by Ilona Andrews, Narrated by Hillary Huber; Michael Glenn

 This audio is a delight. The continuation of this series builds on what has come before but the story is constructed in a way that a new reader can jump into it with some spoiling of things in the past but great intros to characters from the past.  Kate and Curran once again are riding to the rescue of people they haven’t met but desperately need their help.  And the incentives that relatives of the townspeople provided doesn’t hurt either.  An isolated town has been trapped and they must tithe people to a magical being and they are never seen again.  The shifters under control of the magical being have never been seen before but are eventually identified as from the distant past.  Overall, a good plot and certainly sets the overall story arc in place for more books to come.
