#12 Obsession in Death by J.D. Robb
Feb. 14th, 2015 09:08 pmI read these books like popcorn. A contained mystery in every book, light touches of SF since it is set in the near future and and a solid romantic couple. Granted the parts about Rourke being a consultant on her cases all the time is a bit of a stretch it is still cute and keeps him in the plot focus. This one has a killer that is obsessed with Eve and wants to be her true friend. Of course the killer escalates and gets mad with Eve as she tries to stop the killings as it goes from people that might have done her wrong in the pursuit of justice to striking someone close to Eve. What the plot does is force Eve to realize just how many people she is close to and how she finds it hard to protect them all. This is one series that you need to start at the beginning and just plow straight through. The introduction of new characters and how she weaves them in and out of the books really makes it important to read them in order.
