#100 As You Wish: Inconceivable Tales from the Making of The Princess Bride by Cary Elwes, Joe Layde

I'm a big fan of this movie so when I saw this was availble to review I grabbed it.  It was a fun read of the making of the movie from Cary being cast until the final day of shooting. There is also a bit about when they all got together for the 25th anniversary of the film. If you have love of the movie you will enjoy the book. He talks about stuff that happens on set and how certain shot came into the film even when they were not planned. I had a smile on my face the entire time I was reading this. Just a great happy read and I'm glad I picked it up.

#101 Willful Child by Steven Erikson

This is a over the top parody of Star Trek and as much as I wanted to really like it the main character he had all the bad traits of Captain Kirk dialed up to 11. The downside is since this is his first captaincy he has no friends on the ship since he picked his officers based on how hot looking they were. The book does have great gems of humor studded throughout the story that has a fun time picking on tropes of SF.  The part that I enjoyed the most was about the marines he deliberately leaves behind and yet they still manage to get to the ship and save his bacon. Overall an amusing read even if the hero of the story irritated the hell out of me.

#102 Neil Gaiman's the Last Temptation 20th Anniversary Deluxe Edition Hardcover by Neil Gaiman

Neil Gaiman's the Last Temptation 20th Anniversary Deluxe Edition Hardcover by Neil Gaiman, Alice Cooper, Michael Zulli, Dave McKean

This reissue comes with lots of copies of the original script, several pages of pencil art and some stories of how it came into being.  The actual story is over 3 issues so there isn’t much story in the entire reissue.  It doesn’t break any new ground but it is a nice short story with Alice Cooper playing the baddie.  This is more for the Alice Cooper fan or the Gaiman completist.
