#50 Boneshaker by Cherie Priest
Jul. 22nd, 2010 12:27 pmI will admit that the first time I tried to read this I didn't finish it but I think that had more to do with me than the book. This isn't something to be read in starts and stops but I powered through most of it one one go on a flight. The steampunk works in the story since the Seattle it is set in has poison gas in the air due to the actions of a now missing inventor. The son of the inventor wants to clear his father's name while his mother spends most of the book chasing after her son in the now walled up section of Seattle filled with the dead victims of the yellow gas. Zombies and zeppelins make for an interesting YA nove.l to give to any book hungry teen in your life.
