This is a paranormal anthology of new fiction by the writers. I had bought the book on the strength of Briggs story alone and it was worth it. The Briggs story is based in her newest universe with Mercedes Thompson, but she doesn't show up at all. I liked it and it fleshed out the wolves in her universe.
Wikes' story was new to me. It had more of a romance feel to it and it was ok but it didn't make me want to go out and read more in this universe. Not that it was bad, just not my taste.
Karen Chance's story is based in the same universe as her series but doesn't deal with her heroine. This was a fun read and should be interesting if she will thread it into her series or will it just be a series of short stories only. Also she is a local writer but I have yet to be able to meet her. One of these days....
Sunny is the last writer in the book and I felt a bit lost in the story. I felt like I was missing too much info even though the writer keeps giving info on what is going on but it always felt like I was a half step behind in the story. If I come across more of her books I might read them if I can get them in order I might give them a chance but I wasn't ready to run out and buy them.

The problem with getting behind posting reviews is unless the book was filled with awesome I tend to forget some of the details. I read both the the books in the series back to back but was slack about posting on the second one.
sevillalost posted on the first book but I don't remember if she posted about the second one in our little reading group. Must go dust that list. ;-)
This one has our heros fighting a plague that the dark side of the Zodiac is spreading in the city. And she still fights to be accepted into the light side of the Zodiac fighters. I'm enjoying the books but they are not on my Must Read Now list. But I do admit to driving to several chain bookstores looking for signed copies of the books when I was out in Las Vegas this spring. ;-)

Look Ma, I'm updating my LJ
Oct. 11th, 2007 03:58 pmIn other words, trying to avoid work. I'm dusting off a community I set up and had a few friends join but I thought I would toss a reminder out about it.
rockets_magic is a really cool idea
ratseal and I cooked up. It had a nice start and then we all abandoned it for the last 7 months. It doesn't help that I joined Goodreads and have played more in there. Granted I didn't anything new there and I mostly just use the star rating system and comment on friends reviews. But anyway if anyone wants to play in either place sign up.
