Lots of new books

I forgot to post that I was going to Necronomicon.  Con was good and I have now just listed a bunch of signed Harry Turtledove books on my website.  I'm also back from World Fantasy and I brought home boxes of signed books and new books to list. Keep checking the website every few days for more goodies.

Necro and World Fantasy were the last two cons for me for the year.  I'm looking at the 2007 convention list and I will be dropping some shows you might have seen me at before. The good news is that I will try to add some new cons further up the Eastern seaboard since I have a few friends to take advantage of on the way up and back.

Thanks

#56 Candyfreak by Steve Almond

Just another nonfiction book about food. The title caught my interest and I requested it from the library.  The subtitle is what hooked me, A Journey Through the Chocolate Underbelly of America.  The sad thing is that it really wasn't. This was more the personal journey of the writer hitting up the smaller regional candy makers. The only one I knew that was mentioned is GooGoo Clusters. Since GooGoo Clusters was the only Southern factory he hit that would make sense. In the end I was disappointed with the book. Too much personal info about the writer and not enough about candy. Not sure what will be my next food related book but it might be Salt.
