#20 In Golden Blood Stephen Woodworth

This is the third book in the series, Through Violet Eyes and With Red Hands are the first two. Only the concept of a subset of people with violet eyes that can talk to the dead make this vaguely SF. The books are more suspense and are shelved that way. The third book moves the action to Peru and the hunt to find a huge cache of gold treasure hid by Pizarro during his conquest of the area. The series is fun and I do like the concept. Very easy read but not one that I would be rereading.
