Book #7 Memory in Death by J D Robb
Jan. 31st, 2006 08:56 pmThe latest installment of the series falls over Christmas time. Eve's first foster mother shows up and tries to see her. Eve tells her to leave, the next day the woman goes to see Roarke and states she wants a payoff in order to keep everything she knows about Eve's childhood out of the papers. He refuses the blackmail attempt and tosses her out. Foster mother turns up dead and Eve is handling the case. Of course Eve solves the case in the end and has a nice Christmas as well.
I always have to laugh the she seems to be able to investigate cases that she has an involvement in. But aside from that fact, the series stays strong and I'll be waiting for April for a new short story that will be coming out. And the the wait for July for a new novel.
If I keep up this pace I should pass last year's record but I shouldn't get too cocky since it is only the beginning of the year.
