I got this out from the library. Was going to buy it the other day but the store was out of them. Good thing since I would have been disappointed to have spent $25 or so on the book. She has the time frame down but the first 4 chapters were rehashing 2 short stories that had been previously published. The ending felt rushed and what had happened with the "Wizard of London" doesn't seem to be reflected on what we know of him from other books which happen later on in his life. Granted writing prequels are hard to do when you haven't planned on it in the first place. And I don't think this was a fairy tale retelling like the other books in the series have been. I'll pick up a copy of the book for myself later on at some point but I'm not in a rush.

Book 4 in the Weather Wardens series finds Our heroine at the lowest point in her life. Joanne is stuck with a dead end job and is unable to use her WW powers since she has left the group. Her true love is dying by inches and now there is a battle brewing within the Weather Wardens as well. Previous actions from earlier books catch up with her as well. There is no rest for the wicked or busy. This book also introduces several new characters including Joanne's non-talented sister.

Fast paced all the way and an ending that leaves you wanting to pick up the next book makes me quite happy with the series.

At this point I'm almost ready to to stop reading her books. There is something that just bugs me reading them. I'm not sure what it is. Maybe it is just because they are her early works. I just don't know. This is her second book and it follows the grandson of players from her first book. Of course the first part of the book is in LA during the 1980's. So I have now read 3 of her books and I'm sure I'll slog through a few more just to at least get to her Award winning ones. But I don't think it will be anytime soon.

This is an anthology of Misty Lackey's Urban Elves series. I like those books but these stories felt uneven. I was a bit sad that Misty's story wasn't new to me since I had heard her do a reading of it before. The plus was I could hear her voice in my head while I was reading it. This is a book to borrow to read the name writers and see how they do playing in this universe. But I can't even tell you who they are besides Rosemary Edghill and her sister since it has been a while since I read it.

I really need to post more often instead of posting huge chunks at a time. I have slightly less than 10 new books to add to the list. This is getting a bit insane so just skip over all of it if you find it boring.
