When I first heard there was a SF retelling of Cinderella I was curious as how it was going to be pulled off. Once I got the book and read it I liked the worldbuilding  but would have liked a bit more info on how the Lunar people came into their powers. That the book is part of a trilogy is a bit of a downer since I wanted to see how it was all going to end to compare it to the fairy tale I guess that is a good thing. There are several departures from the original story but it works for this story and that is all good.
