missingvolume | #74 Rule 34 by Charles Stross

Too many threads and characters in this book rubbed me the wrong way. I finished it to find out how it ended but didn't close the cover feeling like I had enjoyed the ride. Looking on the net I see that this is the second book in a series but I don't think I really missed anything to this story but not having read Halting State. I didn't have a problem with the book being in the second person but I felt that the ending just felt a bit rushed. Granted most mystery/police procedural stories don't have much of a wrap up I think it would have been a bit nicer to have one with speed that the ending came in the the book. As always your mileage may vary. And yes at some point I'll be reading Halting State.
