missingvolume | #83 Intrigues by Mercedes Lackey

The second book to feature Mags and Dallen set in the Valdemar universe about 100 years or so after the Herald-Mage books. I like these and this trilogy is a good jumping in point to the series since you don't have to know anything about the universe it is set in to get into the story. The book feels a bit more YA than some of her other books but it isn't marketed as so. Just the usual outsider does good and has good stalwart friends that they help and they help him. There is an over-arcing story plot that isn't resolved in this book but I'm sure it will be by the 3rd book.
