missingvolumeThe good news is you don't have to have read any of the Fables comics to dive right into this story. The bonus graphic novel at the the end will give you a good taste of the story in graphic novel format. The story is built around the Pied Piper of Hamlen story and weaving it into the Fables universe but it certainly works as a stand alone novel.
