This is a stand alone novella that really needs to be read before the latest book in the Dresden Files. The spotlight is on Thomas, Harry's older half brother. It was interesting seeing Thomas in the spotlight as he tries to save his brother from himself and hide a secret vampire campaign against an unknown bad guy. I wouldn't be surprised if this baddie gets folded into the novels later on down the road, the idea behind it is great.
