This is the third book in the series. I am amused that the story is about a SF/F writer that battles evil and then uses her battles to write bestseller books about it. This book has most of the action occurring in Las Vegas. This book does use the Las Vegas area as a setting and not just  list a few casino names and then treat it as a generic city.  Tess has gone to Vegas to for a writers conference and has brought her mother with her hoping to snap her out of the fog of mourning from the events of the previous book. And it looks like Tess might be making a decision on the love front but by the very end that is a bit cloudy as well. I enjoyed the book and I'm waiting on the next one.

If the author gets hounded by evil fans they at least earned it unlike some authors. ;)

The real writer or the fictional writer. And did I mention the author is a pseudonym. LOL

In this case you could possibly get some nutball who thinks the real writer is writing fact in the guise of fiction.

It happened to Mercedes Lackey over the Diana Tregarde books.

It's a good thing they're using a pseudonym. ;)
