#28 Jennifer Scales and the Ancient Furnace by MaryJanice Davidson & Anthony Alongi

This is the first book in a YA series about a girl coming to find out about herself and her heritage. I had to say the book was certainly written for teens. Jennifer sounds like a teenager not like a miniature adult. I'm sure if I find the rest of the books I would read them and I certainly would gift them to any teen that I knew that liked urban fantasy and the plus is no creepy romance overtones at all.

Yay for lack of creepy and no "abstinence romance" or whatever the hell they are calling it.

And that the book was a young teen not a 16-17 year old teen

I've read through Seraph of Sorrow, and enjoyed them. Creepy spots (depending on your feelings about spiders), but not creepy romance :o)

My library only have books 1 and 4 but I think a friend as 2 and 3 so at some point I will have to borrow them or find them used for cheap.
