#42 Old Man's War by John Scalzi
My friend Mark has been talking about Scalzi for a while but I hadn't gotten around to reading him yet. In a way it is nice since I now have several books to read in a row instead of waiting for the next published book. This was real kick ass book. The premise is when you turn 75 you have the chance to enlist in the Colonial army. The catch is you can never go back home. They want old people for their skills and the fact that they have experience living. You get a new body to do the fighting in and after 10 years they will clone your body without the military mods and you can become a colonist. Turns out of course that we are not the biggest or baddest thing out there. No way to sum up everything that happens but this was a really great read and I've got the next one lined up at the library.

-I always wanted to make it with a green Orion slave girl (see Trek, episode 14) and now I can!
