Intergalactic Exterminators, Inc by Ash Bishop, Scott Brick (Narrator), Suzanne Elise Freeman (Narrator)
Russ is more than down on his luck, back home for his grandfather’s funeral he hits a deer and it runs off. Getting out of the car to see if the animal needs to be put out of its misery, he finds a lot more than a deer. He comes up on a group of people trying to catch an alien and not everyone in the group is human. These intergalactic exterminators are impressed when he joins in to help and does well for himself. The bad news is that they give him 24 hours to decide to work for them and Russ really doesn’t want to. He is more interested in trying to fix his grandfather’s bookstore and help take care of his grandmother. Russ meets Nina in town and a relationship starts between them, but she gets tipped off to Russ’ offer to join the exterminators and wants the job more than he does.
The premise is good, and the ending is wide open for a sequel to come out. I’m curious to see where the next book will go.
