#90 Encore in Death by J.D. Robb

This one has Eve and Peabody working a high profile poisoning of a beloved actor at a party in his home.  Eliza and Brant are two highly regarded actors, Eliza is about to start a Broadway run of a revival of the show she made her big break in.  Brant is about to leave to head up a big budget movie he is producing and staring in.  All their friends and a few frenemies are gathered when Brant drinks from some champagne meant for his wife.  Now Dallas is one the case hunting for clues to find the murderer. This was a straight up murder that could have taken place at any time, no fancy tech was involved in the story as much as I like seeing it in the books.  Just a well plotted murder to entertain the reader.  Can’t wait for the next one.

A street view of Broadway with a yellow gold sky with faint skull and crossbones floating above.
