This novella is Agatha’s story told in a series of flashbacks about her dealings with Pillover, Dimity’s younger brother. They have a secret relationship, but Agatha can’t make herself take the final step towards him. She has had a successful career as an intelligencer and he is an Oxford Don.  With all the flashbacks this really needs to be read after all the books she has appeared in. The story does end on a happy note but there are some tears before you get to it.
