missingvolumeYou can read this before reading the other books in the series but there are spoilers since this covers the same time frame in this universe but with a team of bloggers following one of the Democratic candidates in the race to the White House. If you don’t mind spoilers, then this is a great book to read in this universe. This story and the collection of novellas that came out earlier this year is like the best love letter to fans of the series. You may only see Shawn and George name checked but the playing in this world setting is great as always.

Overall I really liked this and was grateful at one part near the end of the book that I know the writer will not add rape scenes and I could see the plot possibly having that since many other books would have done that just to ratchet up the tension. I hadn’t realized how uncomfortable I was getting reading the book until I set it down for a break and then that fact about the author popped in my head and I let out the breath I hadn’t known I had been holding.
