missingvolume: (books cats)
[personal profile] missingvolume
This is a direct sequel with no waiting from the events at the end of the first book.  It does explain why Caldswell does what he is doing and why. The action is nonstop and Devi is on the run or fighting the entire time. She does get one brief respite in the plot when she thinks she has found the perfect solution but as a reader you know it isn't going to work out but as a plan it is consistent with how we know Devi is. That the book  stays true to characters are presented and allows them to be flawed in their thinking makes for a better story. I can't wait to read the third book in this series. Good thing it is all ready out.
