Sloan Cooper is a Natural Resources office working in Maryland when she is shot during a gas station robbery. She moves in with her parents while she is on leave recovering and is slowly going stir crazy. There is an abduction in her area that grabs her attention, and she looks into it and realizes that it is actually a serial killer. Now she has to convince other law enforcement that there is a pattern and to allow her to keep working on it. A good mystery with a nice love interest as well that doesn’t get in the way of the mystery.
