#36 What Feasts at Night by T. Kingfisher

 

Alex arrives at their family hunting lodge to recuperate from the events in the previous book. The reader doesn’t have to read the previous book to understand what is going on in this one.  When they arrive, they find the that the caretaker has died and no one from the nearby village really wants to help out at the lodge any more due to the belief that a monster is in the woods. Alex now needs to figure out what is going on with the help of their valet and the British mushroom specialist from the previous story.  An enjoyable read and you can read these out of order but there will be spoilers to past events .
