She breaks one of the 3 rules of her group and doesn’t kill her target.  She quickly finds out that her target is from her past and brings them to her guild master for help to solve the puzzle.  But she has to find a way to fulfill the contract by dawn or she will be tormented by the goddess that gives them undead life for eternity.
